The Change Companies®, publisher of the New Mexico Traffic Safety Division’s DWI Education Program, is offering an Advanced Facilitator Skills Training for DWI School Instructors.

Instructor: Scott Covert, Vice President of Early Intervention Services, The Change Companies®

Who can take this course: Currently certified DWI school facilitators only. NM Traffic Safety Division strongly recommends that all certified facilitators attend this class.

This course cannot be used as continuing education for Driving Safety Instructors.

Learning Objective: How do people change and how can we facilitate the process? This training will focus on the benefits of using

Interactive Journaling®, video and PowerPoint to engage DWI School participants in the process of lasting behavior change. Methods for shifting the responsibility and initiative for change onto the participant will be discussed, as well as facilitating the program using a client-centered approach.
