Training Calendar

PRIOR APPROVAL FOR TRAINING: New instructors must apply for licensing and be approved for training BEFORE being permitted to register for any of these trainings.  If a new instructor attends without approval to become a Traffic Safety instructor, there will not be a refund for any courses taken.

Class size is limited. All courses require prior approval from the Transportation Safety Center before enrolling. Classes close one week before the class start date. This class is open to new DWI Facilitators that HAVE BEEN APPROVED FOR TRAINING. This class is required for all DWI School Facilitators and Owners.

It will teach Facilitators and Owners how to teach the State curriculum within the DWI school setting.

The Facilitator’s role is to provide support by helping the DWI School participants to honestly evaluate their drinking and driving behavior and find ways to make positive changes through the development of an effective Personal Action Plan.

This 40-hour course provides instruction strategies for teaching Driver Education in the classroom and behind the wheel. Completion of this training is required in order to be certified to teach Driver Education in either private Driver Education schools or in public schools. Instructors currently teaching classroom curriculum or behind the wheel on a training waiver are required to take this class in order to continue teaching.
